I am interested in data-enabled behaviour change and health-related self-management empowerment. Together with Maxima Medical Center, I am working on creating a chatbot-based conversational dietary assessment tool for cardiovascular patients, to not only track their dietary intake, but also provide them with real-time feedback for self-reflection and nudging towards healthier dietary behaviour. Meanwhile, we are looking into expanding the database for healthy adults to develop the chatbot further adapted for the general public. Furthermore, we are working on the customization and personalization of the chatbot, by understanding the food choice determinants and creating user profiles based on the dietary behaviour of the users.
