Current society relies more and more on digital technologies. A rising problem is the massive amount of data collection it involves. On social media platforms, such as Google, users ‘pay’ for the services by giving up loads of information about themselves. Although sharing this much data feels off, the “what” and “how” remains abstract, which makes it easier to ignore. However, it is important that people realize what they sign up for and make conscious decisions.
‘Let it flow?’ is a physical and audible experience to investigate the data streams of Google. Passengers can interact with the installation to explore the effects of the five settings, available in every Google account. Afterwards, they can decide what settings they prefer themselves.
