– Research/design question: Design future dietary behavior monitoring tools through co-design workshops with designers, technologists and users?
– Description : Dietary intake is very important to human health. Dietary intake behavior is a controllable factor to prevent non-communicable chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes. Dietary behavior monitoring is an important measure to support people to gain more awareness of their dietary intake behavior and change behaviors if needed. The currently available dietary intake monitoring tool requires quite a lot of effort to be sustainably used by users. Many new technologies such as AI, gaming technologies, new agricultural technologies, etc. can contribute to better dietary intake behavior and provide opportunities for behavior change. You are invited to design for future dietary behavior monitoring using a co-design approach. PESTEL analysis, trend watching and forecasting should bring in speculative insights to you to co-create with users, technologists, and designers.
