About Rens
Rens Brankaert is professor Health Innovations & Technology at Fontys University of Applied sciences, school of Allied Health Professions and assistant Professor ‘Active and Healthy Ageing’ in Industrial Design, University of Technology Eindhoven (TU/e). His work focusses around the design of technology, systems and services for and with people living with dementia and their ecology of care by using design research and living lab approaches. In these approaches the perspectives of person-centered care and warm technology are taken. In addition Rens is KTP fellow at University of Technology Sydney, and co-director of the Expertse Center Dementia & Technology (ECDT) at TU/e, and an active member of the international HCIxDementia and Dementia Lab community.
