– Research/design question: How can design help people with dementia and their partners share their experiences?
– Description : Partners wish to revisit shared memories with their loved ones with dementia, yet encounter challenges when the person with dementia cannot recall those moments. Simultaneously, people with dementia desire to communicate their experiences, even if these diverge from shared realities, without facing dismissal or lack of comprehension from their partners. How can design facilitate a way for people with dementia and their partners to describe memories and experiences to create greater mutual understanding and strengthen their connections?
